avoiding blunders in order to improve - but how?
First think about your move, then do not play it, but imagine it played on the board.
Then check it is no blunder: does not hang any piece or pawn, does not run into checkmate.
Only then play it.
My blunders happen in a few different ways:
1. I don't thoroughly inspect my target square for my next move.
2. I don't extrapolate my opponent's tactics.
3. I let my opponent push pieces down onto my side of the board.
4. I don't look at the entire board at times.
5. I don't recognize the discovered attacks that arise from my opponent's moves.
