Do block warnings work?
And how do some of you know who you've been blocked by?
There's no notification, often just an abrupt realization that you can no longer post in threads that they've started (something that in my opinion should be removed from the restrictions applied when a block is in place).

What if they've started no threads you ask? In that case, go to their page and see if you can leave a note.

I've had good results. I just tell tell them something such as, "Fair warning. If you don't stop doing (insert behavior) I will block you." 100% success, but small sample size since I've only tried it a few times.

My profile say April 9, 2010, that's when I registered.
I never actually started on July 29, 2010.
Hmmm . . . I just went and looked how many are blocked . . . I counted EIGHT and I have never had a chess game with them . . .
I checked my friends list and it's only FIVE . . .

The same way one knows these things in general.
Not my first, won't be my last.
2 blocked, member since December 2008. I have given out many block "warnings" however.
More than 100 people blocked on my YouTube account however. I block people without warning on YouTube because I am tired of getting spammed/advertised/scammed/hatemailed.
