For a real thrill, check out opinions about the *New Achievements* thread!
okay
Recently I have unblocked anyone that I have ever blocked because it is not like it does anything. People will just start other threads about the same topic themselves and then you can just go argue on that one and repeat the process. Also, then people start making those"oh my god why did you block me that was my favorite thread blaaahhhhhhh" threads. Also, all it does it limit the number of chess games you can play and slow down bughouse matches. Who cares if the guy you are playing is an a-hole, chess is chess, it doesn't matter who is moving the pieces. Don't look at, or disable chat if necessary. They should remove the block option. I honestly don't care how many PMs or nasty comments people send, the number next to my home icon is still only 3 digits
i unblocked woollensock
Why would anyone care who other people block or that there is an option to do it?! I don't use the 'Rematch' option, but it doesn't mean I think they should get rid of it (although it wouldn't be a bad thing!!). It's easy to simply not use an option.
I have no idea how many people are on my blocked list. I block people for various reasons, but none of them that cause me to give more than a second's thought or care afterwards, it's just a button that means I don't have to play or give two hoots about someone again mostly.
I take it you are still in an endless set of rematches with every player you have ever faced. Or were you a coward and backed out of the infinity of games?
It only limits them for the person doing the blocking, or anyone who gets blocked by a lot of people, which probably means they deserve to have slower match ups for live games anyway.

Nah, just because they were an a**hole in forums doesn't mean they don't deserve to play chess! That's cruel and unusual punishment
Well, the forums are on a chess site, so I don't see a problem with it. Personally I don't block people based on forums though, only through actions in or resulting from actual chess games. Blocking people in a forum seems rather odd.
I do block spammers in chess.com tv chat sometimes since they rarely seem to have anyone modding it so you have to do your own modding, but again, if those people get banned by lots of people it's their own fault. It's trivially easy to avoid.
Oh the Lichtenstein flag for me is a reference to cryptocurrency fans. Apparently that country has very crypto friendly laws and many hodlers (like people that own bitcoin for the long term) joke about moving there. But I currently live in the U.S.
I never got into cryptocurrency. i prefer the old gold standard. but theyll never take us back.
