How does blocking a player work? And why would you do it if they aren’t cheating or being rude to you?

Also, can I just block someone so I don’t have to read their stupid comments in the forums, but still be able to play chess against them?

Blocking other members prevents you from being paired with them in the random game pool, prevents them from messaging you, or replying to topics or content you create

So I still have to read the topics they start in the forums but I’m invisible to them?

You'll still see their comments but can choose not to read them

Sometimes I block players because they're poor winners, others because they're poor losers.

People usually block me after they have been salty in game chat for losing
