Well, bughouse is on v3 but the OP might just be referring to bughouse in general.

So, I love bughouse and glad to see that development here.  So here's some questions.  

Do I have to re-register to the "new chess.com"?  That's what the email from chess.com seems to be telling me to do.  

Do I have to be using a particular version of chess.com, and if so how do I get that to run on my iPad using safari browser? 

Or, can I play bughouse in the iOS app? That's what I normally use...

You have to be on v3 to play bughouse and the account is the same as v2. The only variant in the apps at this time is 960.

To get on v3 you can click the link on the bottom of most v2 pages that says Try the new Chess.com. That links to www.chess.com/switch

How do I invite a friend to partner with me to play bughouse against others?

ok is there a simple tutorial on how to drop pieces in bughouse or zh? i dont know if its a browser thing but if i left or right click on spare pieces on the left hand side it does nothing. 

I have only played CrazyHouse but I believe it was click-hold and drag to the location.
