I looked all over chess.com but could not find any group for people that have an interest in the old traditional Western religions and the practice of magic. If I am mistaken, let me know, I really have checked many times over the years. Finally, having bought my membership, I decided to do something about it and start what I believe to be the First Wiccan Group, not only for Wiccans but also fellow-travelers, anyone really that is interested in what is euphemistically termed esoteric studies, to include the Qabballah. Perhaps we can get some team matches going.

It is true, I only have myself in the group at this time, and the group may fail to gather any popularity, but even if that is so, still this will be just as it is titled, the First Wiccan Group, and maybe others will take off later on down the road. If, however, my clip art and this plan of mine appeals to you, then you will kindly join and participate in the occasional group match. I like the idea that we Represent in a positive and respectful manner. I started off with a challenge for the Secular Atheists and Humanist group, and perhaps they will accept the challenge despite my group having only one member.

My interests in terms of chess include: obscure and home-made openings, hypermodern, Chess960, and 3 Check. I would like to see more people playing the chess variants, as it seems quite difficult to get a Chess960 or 3 Check game at certain hours of the day and night. Even if you are not interested in my group, please consider experimenting with Chess960 or 3 Check, as those are a lot of fun and help to spice up the overall chess experience.

Sometimes we magicians perform the Greater Invoking Ritual of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It has the magical power to eliminate hunger. Spell components include pasta, hot water, and tomato sauce. Including hot peppers protects against the demon of blandness. This spell has few if any side effects and works all the time. It is particularly recommended at mealtimes, but time of day has no effect on the potency.
