There is a separate website for children under a certain age; 18 I think but I'm not sure. That site is considered more appropriate for children. I have never been there, but I would guess the reading, lessons, activities etc are aimed at a younger audience.
Chess.com is for adults; however, children with their guardian's approval may register on this site. The question was asking if children can play on this site. The answer is yes, with permission; however, do they have the maturity and playing level to actually enjoy this site?
