Cheating in Arena

I just played my first arena. My elo is 900+. Somehow a 120 elo account made today came in first place against 1200-1500. Of 20 matches their score was 19/20. I feel that playing chess on this site or other sites are getting worse. I want to get better. My highest elo was 1007. but after this event, I feel like I can't trust the players I play against and might just quit playing online. The integrity of the game on most chess sites is horrible.

I also notice that in tournaments and arenas, chat is always pointing out players that are cheating. Banning accounts doesn't prevent cheating. Also, there are smurfs like in any game where pros will create new accounts to crush lower-rated players as that gets their rocks off. this type of behavior while great from streamers and views is terrible for players trying to take the game seriously.

Many cheaters love to play in the arena, you can avoid the arena, instead of completely quitting online chess.
