Chess.com and Russian Sanctions

Is anyone able to tell me what Chess.com have done with respect to Russian sanctions? I have not seen anything obvious.

Given the status of Chess in Russia it would be another peaceful, visible way to demonstrate this community’s revulsion at the acts being perpetrated on Ukraine, and aligned with international sanctions and consensus.

It surely would not be difficult to make something visible and on the app and website that makes this community’s position clear.  I get that not all Russians are in favour of the war (or indeed are well informed about it) but such a statement would be supporting of those Russians prepared to stand against their unhinged leadership.

Please make Chess.com’s position clear.

I understand that Chess.com has no intention of banning Russian users. That is a fair position to take, given that many Russian citizens demonstrably oppose the war, even facing arrest, and that Chess.com can instead utilize its platform to penetrate Russian propaganda. But that does not mean Chess.com should still profit from Russian users. I call on Chess.com to set aside all revenue generated from Russian user subscription fees and Russian user ad revenue, and donate that money to charitable humanitarian efforts aiding Ukrainian refugees.
