Chess.com Forums: The battleground of trolls and idiots!

the forums are the most usless part of chess.com because of the reasons stated by Shweta_Beniwal.
unfortunate but true !

Irrelevance and malice are two very different things.
Explain it, how?
Malice is an intent to cause harm, and just because something isn't perceived to be serious or related to the subject at hand doesn't mean it's meant to cause harm. A lot of it is, but some of it isn't.

With THAT in mind (uselessness)- why then would you wish to participate or lurk unless you had a pretty good sense of humor?
and some of the guys are your list are, pretty humorous guys.
on the other hand, we have our share of people that occasionally or often try to upset people...
But I truly think some perhaps even Much of the "trollish" stuff on cc are just bad jokes and/or a wierd sense of humor.
if being on the list means you tried to be funny or joke about stuff, put me on the list. I don't Always try to crack jokes. but sometimes I do...
and speaking of who's who. I don't remember seeing your post much Ms Beniwal? how can you experience 'Hell' on the forums without posting??
I don't understand that.

Malice requires an intent to cause !!

Not really. Malice doesn't need to include an intent to cause duplicated punctuation.

Half a dozen or so of my favorite posters were on that original list although sadly I didn't make it.
Chess is just too hard a game to be serious about it all the time. That we have an irreverent community that rarely takes itself seriously is a plus in my book. Probably makes me a troll enabler; so be it.

That's because I don't troll. By the way, go to my profile and check my forum posts.

Do you think yourself a super talented ? exactly like 'em?

the List is gone. apparently this is more of a philosophical discussion.
consider Ms OP a joke. its definitely irrevelvant, it isn't serious, and it isn't meant to cause harm.
yes, Sometimes jokes go too far but this rarely happensl...
Usually in the forum; jokes are graphical, satire, or hyperbole.
where we have our problems is when someone gets racist, offensive, and begins angry rants against something (or someone).
keep in mind, forum subjects are about the same thing OVER and over, long-time forum lurkers like myself have seen All the familiar arguments and rants about Rematches, etc.
so Jokes, and odd rants are really the only reason to read (or write). Occasionally you feel the desire to share what you know about chess- but that can be risky. someone much better at the game can become offensive and mock your low rating. (which is Rude, I Never even pretend to be an authority or expert at chess).

Ooh, there was an actual list? Was I on there? I think I interacted with OP once or twice.
In any case, I agree. Life and everything in it would suck like an industrial vacuum cleaner if we wore our serious pants all the time.

there was a list.
No Blarg you weren't there. or at least I didn't see you.
sorry charlie... perhaps it was just a hard list to make and include every whacky guy.
if I had to name every guy from the forums that I've read and occasionally enjoyed (well in her case I guess she Didn't enjoy them, did she?)...
I'm sure I would miss people.
Chess.com forum comments are the battleground of trolls and idiots!
The trolls made it hell, they have nothing to do with your question, suggestion or ideas, they only have one aim to achive more & more points and crown of the most active member at chess.com. They troll your posts, abuse and irritate you, make nonstop nonsense remarks, only to achive their target. they are super talented in their work and they have amazing stamina to troll you continuously for hours and even days.
okay I've mentioned some names but admin did not allow me for this and I respect admin's remark.
However, everyone knows, who they are :)
