Most often I am getting disconnected and the opponent gets time advantage despite I have 150 MBPs connection. This is just because I didn't subscribe for any of their paid service. I guess others also might face similar situation

Other than ads, not being premium does not impact your connection.

For things you can do to minimize connection issues, check out the following.

What? I don't have subscription but I still do get good connection.

i don't have a premium membership either and my connection is always fine--- well about 95 % of the time -- i can't complain about the tech part for this site -- they do their best -- or at least it seems they do - sometimes how its run is a different matter -- but with people from all over the world in regions that have very suspect internet - i think they do a pretty good job -- maybe the poster should try a different carrier in his area that uses a different server --the main hub o fthis site seems to be ok -

My Internet service is perfect and I don't pay a single cent for service.

Who ever is doing this blog maybe your own internet service is wonky.

It's a good forum to talk about. You can go to chess.com support if you need help.

Chess.com is not doing a good job with mitigating connectivity differentials and I have come to suspect that many of these issues are on their end. I don’t think it really becomes relevant unless you play 1/0 bullet but in this format I have absolutely confidently identified a range of connectivity issues that are not on my end of the connection. The effect is time decay, i.e. my time runs even when I pre move or instantly move. lichess definitely has a better way of addressing this.

One’s hardware and internet quality do have a significant impact on blitz and bullet. But that is your issue, not chess.com’s.

when I play chess at my office computer (powerful computer, high speed internet connection), my ratings at blitz and bullet were about 200 points higher than when I play at home (on a tablet with spotty WiFi).

Chess.com tend to very quality internet, so you get disconnected some times.

The best solution for this problem is put your network adaptor close to the laptop or just connect to ethernet.

And some people hate chess.com because of this problem, so just play in lichess.

Many free users play without experiencing these issues, so it's worth exploring solutions before concluding that it’s a paywall-related problem.
