Hi Chessters!
I'd like to update this discussion about "How Chess.com Players" relates to today's life. I guess the right question should be, "How Playing Chess here at Chess.com Affects our life" .
There will always be two sides of a coin. On one side is the good and on the other side the bad. I would like to share some thoughts on the good side of the coin.
After playing here for many years, one good thing I've learned is, knowing that when my games are bad, it means that I am not in my best or better self so I avoid or think things over any important decision that I had to make. Or better yet, discuss it with many trusted friends and family. And on the other hand, I don't play as many games as I usually do to occupy my time, for I know it is going to be a dissapointing game.
For someone, who is retired, playing here at Chess.com is a very good and convenient way to have brain activity and fun. I believe it keeps me alert and motivated. It doesn't matter if I win or lose. But of course when I am in a good mood, my games are better.
I guess it helps prevent Alzheimer.
Thanks to Chess.com and more power!
{{...... that makes the site more exciting specially for those who seek that feeling of "the Hunter" or being in battle but only in a friendly and harmless way..............}}
It still surprice me how such chess people become upset and start insulting each other.
