I don't want to be notified when it is my move, but everything else is fine for me

This thread is rather long, but it seems to be the closest that the site has to a suggestion box, so here goes :
I would like to see better game management features. More to the point, I want to be able to download all of my games in my archive as one single PGN. I also want to be able to know that I have already downloaded a file. Barring that, I'd like to be able to tag my games somehow. Believe me, the site is so easy to use except for that part, and I am serious about improving, so anything that would help make it easier to download/manage my own games for further study would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Just like to say again - I'd love to be able to annonate my games at various moves instead of just the limited "Notes" feature.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Under "MY HOME > Groups & Teams" I would like to see a list of all the Team & Vote chess matches I am in, instead of just a list of groups.
Oh, and 960 chess.

Is it possible to split the current games box so that active games are shown separately from inactive games? Possibly by bumping a game up when both players are online, or using a specified time period after a move to bump it down to the inactive list?
Thanks

I'd like to be able to as a tournament director, allow people I've removed from a tournament to return. (Only by the TD's invitation of course)

to show in a yellow highlited box the last move played by my opponent and to show my own move in plain black letters next.
The only problem with showing your current move is that it can give away a mate.
Once, I had the moves box open and was considering a move before hitting "submit". I didn't realize the move I was considering was checkmate until I saw # in the move.
If you could make it so that the current move didn't show checks and checkmates, that would be great.

...
The more senses that are involved in the recognition process, the better the memory including olfactive senses.
This is a great suggestion -- I've made some pretty stinky moves and it would have been great if I'd realized before I hit submit.

Hmmm... the analysis board does this now. It probably shouldn't.

I think i might have said it b4 but 2 things
1 conditional move live chess
u drag ur opponents peice and if thats his move u do the move that u played after the conditional
2 live chess forced moves obviosly if a moved is forced why cant the computer make it for you to save time ? (i would also like to see this feature in turn based chess)

The concern is that by displaying the candidate move that you've entered prior to your submitting it, the # indicating checkmate might give some additional insight into the move (i.e. that it is a game winning move) that you might not have otherwise realized on your own. My observation was simply that this concern was already realized on the analysis board's move list.
It's a fairly innocuous form of assistance, really, and probably only helps relatively new players, but from a principled standpoint it's something that should probably be corrected, possibly by just removing the check/checkmate indicators. The functionality you've suggested should be treated the same way if it is implemented.

Just like to reiterate once again - being able to self-annotate games in-game (which would then be able to be saved in the PGN as comments) would be super-fantastic!!

Yes -- it would be an outstanding feature, especially if you could also annotate and save multiple forward-looking lines on the analysis board as well, and those that you didn't use got saved as alternate lines in the PGN. I think it would eliminate the need for the "Notes" panel altogether and make for very robust PGN downloads.

A suggestion: if you receive a friend request but want to decline it, don't make the person have to explain why, or at least explain that the reason box is optional. Also, does the other person get told if you reject the request? I am guessing not...maybe you could clarify that as well. Just an idea.

Hello
I like to request a future for groups,
I'm an additional admin of a small group, what i would like to have is sub forums, like tree hierarchy so we can have a tactics forum, in which we can start various topics, and have for example a nice win forum to post nice games and a puzzle forum, an introduction forum, an opening forum and a non a non chess related forum.

i posted this in the group live chess tournement i think it could make live tournements alot easier with this semi live system
You would click on the game from your homepage and once you were there you clock would start Probably a 5/0 clock) when you did your move the clock stopped for you and didn't start for your opponent until he looked at the game. But to get e person to do the move in less than 3 days there would also be the normal corrospondence 3 days per move. The live chess clock just for when you were actually veiwing the board. Also you wouldnt be able to see it from your homepage just by rolling the mouse over it.
What do you think?
