i think you should be able to search openings. at the moment you have to search a key word, which sucks. if someone tells u an opening and it takes forever to find u sort of lose interest. that and please get the iphone app out. other than that great job.

I was asking about a "Mass Messaging System" that you can do for your friends. Like a box where you can check and it sends the message to all you check. That way if you have a dozen or maybe even a hundred friends you want to message you can do it easily.

Has this been suggested before?

Yes, but not quite that way and I like your suggestion.  One way to do this now is to form a group for your friends.  Then you can send out a news announement as a message.

I dont realy like the sound of that. Personally, I am only a member of about 10 groups and i am flooded with 20 messages a day, it gets very anoying

I have a wish for the wishlist.

I would like to be able to get more detailed states on TT. Before joining here, I was practicing tactics at Chesstempo.com, and it gave me detailed stats as to what I was missing. For example, if it told me I was only getting 30% of the pin problems correct, I would know to work on pins. I could set the server to give me only pin problems.

I think something like that would be helpful here.

Thanks!

I love this idea.

Live chess:

As well as the stability issue, I also think there should be an adjournment system to prevent games from being forfeited on disconnect but users can stil request games that forfeit on disconnect. This gives users a chance to continue their game.

I don't know if this was already said earlier...

How about the option to reinstate a game after timing out?

Another site offers this and describes it this way:

After you request to reinstate the game, a brand new rated game will be created with the same time control as the old one and starting with the last position on the board. Your opponent will be given an option to decline the reinstatement. The old timed-out game will still be counted towards your rating and stats (including team rating, tournament standing, league stats, etc. etc.). In other words, reinstating a game doesn't restore your previous rating nor stats.

i like that, and it sounds like a good learning tool

I'd like an icon on my 'My Games Archive' showing which games have been Computer Analyzed and which ones haven't.

Well, I posted it in other forum...so I add the link to this forum too:

VOTE CHESS RATING INSTEAD OF FIXED SCORING SYSTEM

I'd like to add the ELO rating to vote chess teams. (take a look on the link above)

Seconded, I started a thread about that awhile back.

I think autotime out would be nice.

Make the tab that says that you have written down a note in the notes box more noticable instead of a little read star how about the whole box read this is what happened because i missed reading my note

I get an alert every time a game is over -- I don't know why you wouldn't unless you've turned them off.  As of late I even get one if an opponent adds content to the chat box after the game is over.

Avatar of TheGrobe

My Home->Account->Alert & E-Mail Settings

From there I'm pretty sure it's the checkbox beside:

ONLINE CHESS: my move, low on time, game challenge, etc.

When the alerts occur, they are in the yellow box on the top right corner of any page I view on chess.com excepting the main page.

I think that at the moment some players if playing a player that is going up in their rating and they definitely “ should lose, drag the game out so that they lose less rating points when the game finally ends. I think when a player loses they should lose the “maximum points” based on the history of the opponent’s rating, ideally taking their lowest rating since the game began. So for example if the opponent started with a rating of say 1500 and ended with a rating of 2200 when the game ended the losing player would have their rating adjusted on the basis of the opponent’s older 1500 rating, so would lose more rating points. As it may not be clear if take the history of anytime during the game hat the player had the lowest rating, could simply take the lowest rating of either when the game ended or since when the game began. The idea is people wont play on just to lose less rating points.

i suggest making it so that you can veiw your freinds themes as well as your own. like it already lets you veiw all the themes and you can also veiw just yours. i think you should also be able to veiw just your friends themes.
