So what awesome features were implemented during the downtime just now?
Chess.com Feature Request and Wishlist #5
It looks like they added a really awesome advertisement that superimposes itself over the entire page until I minimize and then close it - every time a page is loaded.
Nice guys. Nice.
I'd like to reiterate my request that board sizes, and other settings (like colour, peice style etc.) be set based on the viewer's preference in the forums as opposed to the poster's. There's no way for the poster to know what's most compatible with my display settings (resolution etc.) so why should they dictate how I see the boards in the forums?
I'd like to see a "standard" mode in tactics trainer...where time did not affect your rating as long as you got the problem correct.
Please can we be allowed to invite more than 30 people a day to groups? I've never really understood that rule...
Thanks,
OG
This may seem strange, but I would like another choice in the "Board Size" to be "NONE". That is - no board showing at all, and if you choose that option, then the chat window at the right automatically defaults to "Move List".
Currently, I just set my Windows window to non-maximized and then slide it to the left so that the board picture goes off screen. Then I select "Move List", so that I can only see the list of moves in Algebraic. I play with a real board (have several real boards and going simultaneously).
I suppose not many people would want this feature, but as a programmer myself I know it is very easy to make it happen. Thanks.
I've had an idea. Where you can create an open seek, why not allow the time limits to be not set so that your seek will match with seeks sent by others who suggest any time limit, or if both allow any time it is chosen at random in the same way as colours.
how about a type of chess called blind chess were tyhere is only the move list showing and you type in your move in move list ( of course you would have to no the type of symbols example how to rite a pawn promoting to queen)
One thing I don't like about Tactics Trainer is that the complexity of the puzzle is given away by how much time is alloted for the problem. For example if you only get 40 seconds you know it's a one-move wonder. If you get 240 seconds it's a long complex variation.
Not sure what can/should be done about this. Any ideas?
Count up instead of count down?
Pretty clever but not everyone would want it, I don't think.

More pieces styles for premium members to choose from.
How about the ability to upload custom piece styles?
Would be nice if there were a game mode such that you played on a clock in online chess instead of live chess. Your clock starts when you load the page and doesn't stop till you make a move. Just like OTB only you don't have to do it all at once...
