Well my avatar shows my hero. He was an ardent chess player, mind you, even during the time he led the Cuban Civil war!! He always had the time to gloss over a chess book to pick a thing or Two.  Che Guevera , the most complete man of modern times!

Hahaha.."the most complete man of modern times."  Truest revolutionary, sure.  Maybe the only true revolutionary, but completest man?  Leader of the Cuban Civil War?  Ever hear of a fella named Castro?

I'd have to throw it in for Batgirl as well. Gumpty had a good one for a while sporting his cue-ball visage.

Mine is constantly evolving. Currently it's a hybrid of icon and photo.  I have the evolution of its morphing documented in an album on my profile. The current one as of this post is me behind the Queen from the Isle of Lewis set - I took the place of the king in a bit of a coup as it were ("It's good to be da king.").

Writch I remember your avatar (but it was different) from a looong time ago when I first joined chess.com.
