Chess.com Logo!?????

So, we're darn close to removing the BETA from the logo. Granted, Live Chess still needs some work, and we need to add teams, and we need to tidy up some things and add in some of the suggestions made by everyone, but we're darn near done with our BETA.

But, that leaves a problem. You see, the little orange BETA in our logo actually adds a very attractive balance to the color scheme. What will we do without it!???

I have tried to just remove it, but it makes it look less pleasant. So, what should we replace it with!?

Hrmm.  Are there supposed to be example logos in the post?  If so, I don't see them.

Erik, does it really have to be words to replace BETA ? if so, how about "unity" ?

( as in chess. com-unity , got ) it ?

If not, I was thinking about a 7 angled star :):),placed exactly where BETA is now.

Maybe you can make the .com orange, or the words "play, learn, share" orange. A third option-mix the words "play, learn, share" up-2 words in green like they are now, one in orange- such as the word "learn".

erik, if the logo changes once the "beta" has been removed, the chess.com logo won't match any of the chess.com gear, wil it ?

I think it would look fine if there was nothing there to replace it. If you really want an orange word there, maybe "Welcome"?

I'll bet I'm not alone in saying I never noticed the BETA.  Even when I went looking for it, just a minute ago, it was so faint I could barely see it.  (That's probably the screen resolution on my laptop, but I wonder how many other people are in the same boat.)

I am rowing the exactly the same boat you are in Dozy ! only when Erik mentioned the BETA did I notice it. BUT if he is so keen in changing something that I don't see, why not ? I mean, there must be something there..... geesh.  I am no expert.

I think putting "play, learn, share" in orange and removing "BETA" would be an interesting first step.

i quite agree with silentfilmstar13, it should be replaced with a disclaimer.
