Kohai restored your game down time. She works really hard. :D
Chess.com Site Speed - Notice Anything?
Hi-Erik.I search the mobile application for mobile phone HTC HD2.This phone has very large capacitive touchscreen 480x800 pixels, 4.3 inches and OS Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional .Where I find it? mundi8
(edited to make the font much bigger)
The changes explain the difference in site performance. Unfortunately, the difference is for the worse. I now have to try multiple times to get pages to load. Tactics Trainer has stopped mid-problem. Generally, the site has become unusable.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.2 with Safari 4.0.5.
Some pages don't load properly since the change (didn't make a list, so can't tell you which ones).
Live Chess is still jerky when there are more than about 2000-2500 people playing (which is a pain for bullet chess).
Also another persistent issue: between LC games, the page's focus goes all over the place, so if you're typing in the game chatbox at the time, anything can happen. Usually a spurious rematch is triggered, followed by an equally unplanned abort and a really ticked off opponent.
Those are my biggest beefs. I'll stop now.

odd - i don't experience any of that... maybe it has to do with ads? or your computer speed? or... ? hrmm... not sure how to fix that.
Adblocker is running fine. Haven't seen an ad for months.
I shouldn't tell you that, I guess.
P4 @ 3.74, no other programs running. Should be more than enough for a board game. If it's my hardware that's the problem, then why only when >2000 players?
WinXP, Firefox 3.6.3. Haven't tried it in Ubuntu, come to think of it . . .
The jerkiness doesn't bother me as much as the erratic behaviour while typing a comment while a game is loading (the no-man's-land between the xx-won-by-checkmate box and the first move of the next game).
Meebo is telling me I'm offline, when I click to go online, it tries for a while, then just goes back to "You are offline"
Maybe this is unrelated.
Thanks Erik for restoring my game.
