I just tried to play live. I couldn't - it keeps saying "loading". Never happened before.
Chess.com Site Speed - Notice Anything?
Have you done some tests to determine the quantitative improvement in performance? I don't trust my own subjective opinion!
[ I too have noticed some curious missing pieces on boards recently (more than just today) But when I went to secure.chess.com, suddenly my games are loading like lightning. Hope it's a real effect! ]
I'm noticing an annoying flickering when I have a game session up. The board disappears and reappears but the chess peices don't. I use exlporer at work (no choice in the matter) and chrome and home. They both flicker and it's quite annoying........ FYI

also one user reported problems with her blog page, let me know if thats fixed.
That was me. Yes, my blog page is all better now. Thanks !
I'm in a new location for vacation, and the pages load a lot slower. Maybe we should both observe if it's the new location or the new server or the combnation of both. I'v moved from Mla to northern Phil. Thanks.
missing pieces here too. and other weird stuff of that nature. or the piece making the capture not appearing on the square...
Yesterday we had a terrible storm with driving wind & snow. Every 5 mins or so the router would crash due to power fluctuations and I'd have to go up to the attic and power it down and up again. This morning I did it 1st thing and immediately noticed a big speed increase on Chess.com especially Video lessons (no buffering!). I thought I had been assigned a lucky broadband connection by the service provider which was giving me super fast access...
Now I can't play chess...... The peices are missing from the board. I have 2 days before my next move so hopefully this problem is fixed by then. Thank you!

Any ideas what might be causing this?
Hey. In Scotland it is taking longer for the pieces to download on the boards when i move from game to game.
For me it is very good no problems from my part of Scotland.
I have checked my vote chess and 960 games all is ok.
I do think it is faster!
I recieved a message from Erik telling about the new secure server.
You actually have no need to change your bookmark to secure.chess.com/login.html because the old bookmark automatically redirects to the new secure.chess.com/login.html place.
Now that somebody mentioned chess videos, I checked them out and they do load immediately for me now. That's great !
It'll be interesting to see if "chess.com TV" will be better now too.
Of course and hope in better
