@Itude was a nice person, he gave away so many memberships... everyone who got a membership from him will not forget.
Entire convo with me an Itude about them leaving.

Dude's probably crying in some corner snorting them.

Itude certainly looks to be getting a bad wrap! The dude plenty times has helped make others here happy, and when he drops insults they’re normally for good reasons behind them, and ain’t no dense cat!
... and.. I hope your friend mod works it all out @JackRoach and finds out everything, because I’m betting bad play been thrown on him.

Ah, breaker one-nine, this here's the Rubber Duck
You gotta copy on me Pig Pen, c'mon?
Ah, yeah, 10-4, Pig Pen, fer shure, fer shure
By golly, it's clean clear to Flag Town, c'mon
Yeah, that's a big 10-4 there, Pig Pen
Yeah, we definitely got the front door, good buddy
Mercy sakes alive, looks like we got us a convoy

Ive known Itude for some time now.
I dont know the circumstances of these mutes, and of course the site itself wont comment.
He is very intelligent, and does have an ability to get ' under the skin ' of some members ( many of whom probably deserve it) . He sometimes perhaps goes a little too far , but its pretty clear that this is not welcomed by some staff. If he is muted for 6 months it does seem extreme, as opposed to a ban for abuse for example.
Over many years here Ive seen quite a few members use bad language, be racial, and very abusive to certain sections of society lets say. They are still here , and seem to have a charmed life.
Ive never known Itude do any of that , but he is obviously judged differently .
If he does leave Ill certainly miss him and hope he returns one day.
then you don't know him as well as you think you do.

But Itude blocked the mod.
LOL.
Can a member block mod? I dont think so.
i tried and it wouldn't allow me.

i never cared for itude, but a six month mute is the same as a ban for active members.
staff often are clueless about what goes on in the forums. even some of the mods are quite lame. in this vein, what do they expect from itude? remain silent? that's not his style. he'll keep contacting his friends here and i'd bet anything he'll be back soon under a different name, making things as difficult for staff as he can.

Depending on what is happening on most forums,
In principle, the member receives a warning in relation to his contentious behavior, before a more radical measure in the event of recurrence.
A measure as severe as this is often not taken by a single moderator, but either a college of moderators or a higher level moderator (administrator level for example). Yes, also among moderators there are often levels and not all have the same powers. It can also be provided that the member can appeal the decision to an administrator, in the event that a moderator has a grudge against a member and seeks to harm him.
Afterwards, I don't know how Chess.com works, but it's not in their interest to ban a member who seems to be very appreciated in view of the reactions without a serious and repeated violation.
As for the explanation as to which he would have denounced a member of his club for fair play, this is not plausible since Chess.com in its regulations asks us all to denounce all the suspicious players so that they can investigate and have a site as honest as possible. To my knowledge, the site is not intended to explain itself publicly on the forum as to its decisions, but can do so only if it deems it useful.
I therefore do not judge the case on the merits, but I doubt a plot of the moderators, especially as all the posts which dealt with the case remained uncensored by the site, and visible to the administrators as well.
I admit that 6 months is a very long time as a sanction, so the case must have been considered very serious by chess.com
As recently as 1936 there was a public execution in the USA, in Kentucky.
Its estimated 20000 people decided to get up at 4/5 am in the morning to go see it.
Sounds so strange to most of these days , but seeing some comments here makes one realise not a lot has changed over the years, and folk still enjoy seeing a show!
I most certainly wouldn't go to one of those, kinda creepy. But you are damn right that I am enjoying the show!
