Computer Analysis

It would be nice to have a help page for the Computer Analysis like the one for Tactics Trainer. I need a little help understanding the analysis, the black and red moves, etc

http://www.chess.com/tactics/help.html

Is there something like this for Computer Analysis? Maybe I am just not able to find it?

We do have an FAQ for the Computer Analysis feature which you can see at http://support.chess.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=700

If you feel we are missing something in the FAQ about the Computer Analysis feature please let us know and we will be happy to add it.

I once played a novelty and have given the opening new life. (Among my friends that is)  It said that my inaccuracies were all in the opening. (Which really shows how much the computer knows about openings)  I like the feature and am thinking of using it in some more games.

@Patzer - The FAQ page doesn't actually explain the results of how to read or understand the analysis.

A help page would explain what a book move is, a blunder, the red moves and the black moves, and the buttons. I can figure some of these out, but it is nice to read a full explanation.

On the membership benefits page it says this.

                                                              Basic     Silver/Gold   Platinum/Diamond

Computer Analysis of your games       1/week       2/week            25/week

Is that correct?

And also, is this feature only for live chess games?

erik

this feature is for live and correspondence chess games that you play on chess.com

This is a terrific feature - thank you!! I had a few questions / feature suggestions:

How do you determine inaccuracies vs mistakes vs blunders?

Does the computer analysis use any opening books?

Is the computer analysis used in any way with the game archive? (If I'm looking through game explorer, can I see computer analysis of member's games?)

Will any of the IM/GM games in the game explorer be computer analysed?

Does the computer analysis rely on previous analysis of a similar position (which I imagine it's quite common to get into the same positions in opening and end games, and anlysing once at a high strength for all users might be worth it)

Will the computer analysis ever be paired with human analysis? It would be awesome to see an IM analyse and comment on a game that the computer had as well

That's about it, keep up the good work!
