If you don't like the change you can disable the effects by turning Pre/post Game Board Animations off in the Board and Pieces settings.

Unfortunately, that setting seems broken today. I turned it off and it was fine for a few days. But today it was automatically turned on again. Then I get the confetti even after turning it off again. So it's all buggy and glitched.

Found out yesterday the confetti is a different setting. It's Win Celebration and currently is only in Play under the settings option next to the board.

How do I enable it? I've gone into settings but there is no option for pre/post game animations.
