Constant disconnection

The app constantly disconnects on the latest app version 3.9.24. The signal icon flashes red, and the auto-resign countdown starts.

The instructions to fix only apply to the browser version. My internet connection is solid.

I’ve lost many games to this, and the ones that I’m able to complete are much less fun with giant lags between every turn. Surprised to see little talk of this, as I’m pretty sure the problem is not on my end. Any way to troubleshoot, or see if the app makers are aware of this issue?

Try clearing the app cache. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling/reinstalling.

Finally, if you're on a device that has both cellular data and wifi, try turning one of them off. The device may be switching connections, causing issues.

Thanks. Uninstalled & reinstalled, same problem first game. “Reconnecting” constantly. Ipad is wifi only, with very solid connection, no issues with any other app or site. Any other ideas? Is this not a known issue?

Bumping to see if anybody else is experiencing this, and if anything can be done. I already uninstalled/reinstalled. Thanks!

Are others using the wifi for things like streaming? I know I've experienced extreme lag when playing on wifi when others on my connection were using data intensive apps. My wifi router isn't top of the line and I wasn't super close, but the additional load can cause problems, depending on a few factors

Hi Martin. No, wifi is free and clear, and performs fast and flawlessly with everything except the chess.com app.
