But who?

p8q

I think this site lacks troll techniques. Pretending to report and pretending not to be a troll are some examples of them. I think trolls here are too innocent. Underestimating is their biggest weakness.

And I don't think a troll ever becomes a permanent enemy of another troll. Because what a troll says is never serious, is just having fun.

There are more challenging forums than this site, that's for sure.

That excuse could be used to justify anything.

Ok I didn’t 👌

What about that guy from Eastern Europe who was advertising a revolutionary book? If he was for real he was crazy as hell, if not he has to be the most dedicated troll ever.

I remember someone who said he found a refutation to the smith-Morra, and he was a titled player. Anyone remember who he was?

Well, many years before the internet was invented there was a Soviet candidate master, or something like that, who stated that the Vienna Game was a forced win for white.

I still hold a bit of a grudge, but it's slowly passing now.

He's right with what he said, though. Extremely unlikable at times, but probably not a troll.

Well that's good to hear. I know I'm a jerk sometimes but I don't want any permanent enemies. I get some jabs in at someone, and they get a few jabs at me, but at the end of the day we don't hate each other. That's how I'd like it to be.

Yo, your bark is your drink..

I think you’re a nice guy

Trolls need to get a grip on life and grow up and respect others, as they certainly wish thrown their way.

Common sense advice, but as with the "next generation" There will always be the next batch of trolls, that think they are better, more original, or somehow blazing new paths, when they are simply rehashing the same ole same ole.

Why on earth would one interest themselves to be a troll?

To be crude to others and be accepted??? That’s some moronic ego, no? Truly how sad.

Lydmil something or other....

He spams amazon with those books.  Again, that is what i am talking about.  Just another chess player that has discovered the "secret" to chess.  Ranks right up their with "The <insert opening here> is busted." and "I have beaten stockfish on the highest level."

Its all about being anonymous.  A friend refers to the internet as "electronic alcohol"  Everyone is brave after they get enough alcohol in them.  Its the same with the internet, except that now you add in the fact that no one can see you.

Can someone explain the whole Bacon / IMBacon thing to me? It seems like there is some kind of insider knowledge at play.

What do you want to know about him?

It's funny to see Asparagusic_acids account closed. I didn't know pretending to report could actually have an effect. It looked like a good successful account XD XD

p8q

months of forum bait (I even forgot about it for some months) and at last someone bites it, and exactly the expected fisherman bite it XD

So you are claiming victory for a nine month troll that resulted in someone inactivating their account because they wanted a different one.  Seems to me you were the one that was trolled and ended up wasting a bunch of time fabricating a lot of nonsense.

p8q

I'm not claiming any victory. Draw is the best result in a chess match. And a draw is what we got.

It took you several months and it took them two minutes to get a draw in your "match."  The draw in this case is not equal.
