Has anyone tried to make a custom theme for themselves? A custom theme gives some personality to the chess experience.
Theme Components:
In the Theme Settings
The Background: The main thing he/she likes; the base of the theme. Since I'm an anime fan, I chose an anime background.
The board: Also an important part of the theme. People can choose any board to fit and cover with the background or just a translucent/overlay board so the background isn't covering up. I Chose an overlay board, so the board doesn't cover up the important details (The Girl).
The Pieces: Choose any, really. There is a lot of different styles that fit perfectly for the board. I chose Neo for the clean look on the overlay. Light also works for me.
The Sound: This one is limited, so choose one that fits the best for the background. I chose Marble. Satisfying clean sound.
In Live Settings
Piece Animation: There are only 4 different animation types. It doesn't really have to fit with the main theme. None is just pieces moving from one place to the next immediately. Slow is pieces moving very slowly, Natural is where pieces move fast with smoke at the landing. Arcade is where pieces move fast like natural but with lighting streaks behind the piece and the king shakes with lighting sparks when it is in check. I chose natural because it looks fast and aggressive.
