That's exactly what I had in mind when I proposed it.
Debate: What to call "Online Chess"...

I understood it was just very bad, doesnt work, and you (i hope for your sake) deliberately missed the point. Are you on the payroll perchance?
No matter what YOU call it, i and everybody else i know will continue to call it chess, the fact that you cannot come up with a satisfactory replacement ought to conclude the argument, if there was a need to change the name an ideal solution would present itself, yet try as you might.....
Actually you just called it long and short chess. I don't think you understansd what the purpose of this thread is.

For very obvious reasons that i normally wouldnt feel the need to explain, but in your case.....
I understand far more than you can imagine but not quite what makes you think that somebody with your intellect or lack thereof is in a position to make assumptions. I dont think you understand how you managed to stumble onto this site, probably on a search for cheese.
I would explain the purpose of the thread to you but you wouldnt get it, keep the silly names coming.

Who`s interested in catchy? im not being paid to do what the PR guys of this site clearly cant do, the only suggestions so far have been weak and cheesy and most of all pointless.
Are you gonna try to change the real catchy name of chess next too?

Are you gonna try to change the real catchy name of chess next too?
Awesome idea! "King Quest: Thirst for Blood"

I said it several times, I prefer to keep the term Correspondence Chess, or if it must change make it cChess as I prefer tradition when it comes to the traditional classic never changing game of chess.
But Erik wants a more relaxed catchy name for CC, I think we all worked that out by now.

Ever notice the correlation between ratings and IQ.
Assumed you had a high rating to say this...
Another assumption I got wrong today...

CC will do for now, since no one has a clearly better label for it--if we're not in a hurry to replace it.
cChess is catchy, but derivative of iWhatever. eChess is not only derivative, but is the name of a competing site.
It's not derivative of iWhatever whatsoever. But funny how we all get different word associations from a word.
It's like 'Calendar Chess'. I would be expecting each month to see a new photo/page of staff posing for the members...
