It depends on your work ethic and if you have the "right brain" to be such a strong player. I used to think there was no way I could imagine being able to find all the creative ideas grandmasters do, or calculate more than 1 move ahead (for both sides!!
), but that was when I had a low rating. Now I see myself finding much more intricate moves that are starting to come naturally to me.
So you should try to study a lot and get better and see how it goes at first. If it takes you years to get to like 1500, don't count on it, but if you keep smoothly improving, who knows. You need to really work at it though.
