Does chess.com have a classical chess category for rating?

I thought that if I start playing 60 minute or 45+45 minute games my games will be rated

as classical.

But a search I did now found that there is no classical chess category.

No.  This site does not currently have a classical rating format.

I am hoping they implement a separate category soon as people like ourselves would feel more enthusiastic and interested about queuing longer-format games on this site.

Is there a chance that a classical rating category will be added soon?

I don't have any inside information, but I am very optimistic that they will be incorporating a classical rating.  People have asked about it - especially since the site recently adjusted the Blitz/Rapid categories in an effort to better categorize the "feel" of different time controls.

OK. I have decided I will play in a 45+45 format, and if it is categorized as rapid, so be it.

I would prefer  it to be categorized as classical but I won't quit the site over it.

In the end it is a technicality, although it does make sense probably.
