Emoticon while playing

Hi, how can an opponent show me emoticons on top of the board when I've refused the chat?

Is this a new functionality? People takes any option available for bullying opponents.

No, but you can display your own by holding down a hot-key and left-clicking. 

There may be a bug in the feature, since some people are having issues. What is your Animation Type under your Board and Pieces settings?

I have "none" as amination.

Do you have any plugins/add-ons installed? I tried to recreate the issue and can't get it to happen.

this is still happening, my opponent sent me emoticon before I accept/decline the chat proposal

Are you on a Mac and trying full screen play in the browser?

I'm with Windows 10 20H2 and browser Chrome 92.0.4515.131 in normal browser mode

I'm still getting emoticons from the opponent while playing. Is this a bug or it is just chess.com idea that I can get bullied with emoticons during a game?

This happened to me a couple days ago. My opponent asked to chat, I ignored the request, and they were able to post an emoticon at the top of the board. I had chat set to Everyone at that time and then afterward set it to None.
