In downloaded PGNs, could there be a comment after each move that says how much time was spent thinking about that move (that's for live chess) or the timestamp when the move was made (that's for online/daily chess).

I bet you know why I am asking :-)

ALMOST available in v3. In progress this week!

Sharon, what was the alien question?  Something to do with Stallone?

sorry erik, you'll have to get your own thread.

Here were the questions:

"Have you ever seen a UFO? Have you ever experienced "lost time" and think you may have been abducted by aliens when it happened?"

I sensed that he was nervous once these questions popped up. And we can see now that he's probably controlled by aliens. Poor Erik...

Okay Erik, I am going to mention something I have brought up a few times before...the possibility of allowing team/vote chess/personal matches to begin with an FEN.

Right now, chess.com does have a LOT of options - BUT it doesn't cater well to players like me, who specialize in a lot of offbeat openings, such as Bird's Opening.  The options for that are lacking, and sometimes there is more emphasis on the Horsefly Defense (1. f4 Nh6 - I don't think I have EVER had an opponent play this against me, although I somewhat understand the point behind it), when there are serious lines we wish to explore.

We just started a group dedicated to the ...Qd6 Scandinavian, and there were no options for the ...c6 lines we wished to explore.  An FEN would have instantly solved this.

This would also be great for people who wish to replay famous matches from ages past, such as the old Kasparov's Octopus Knight games, for instance.  The options are limitless - why not allow FENs for customizable games?

Erik, I saw some people asking about other chess servers, like lichess.

Come on, let's fry these patzers!!

I suggest chess.com going public, make a huge and successful  IPO (Inicial Public Offer of shares) in Nasdaq, get a lot of money then crush all this patzers, as Facebook, Twitter does.

Amazing that Pdela and RJC the two biggest beggers for a job here are missing this.

A question a lot of group admins have asked many times. Is there a way in V3 Club admins could see when members make there moves in Vote Chess games. Like a time stamp. We have been pulling our hair out for years with drive by voters ??

Another idea is that admins have the option to only allow certain moves for voting, as well as to prevent early voting if desired.

Q1: Erik, why am I always late to the party? :)

Q2: Is Chess.com thinking about implementing any new variants, like King of the hill?

Q3: Can I get an honourable mention everywhere for everything I've done for Daily Puzzle? :)

The policy for deciding who you are going to close accounts of should be clearer.  Many people who have been very helpful in vote chess games being very open with their knowledge and chess insights are very suddenly just gone -- the only indicator is the icon and account closed.  I find it very hard to believe that some of the victims of the chess.com police are cheating -- one such group mate did not play in tournaments he had reduced his play to vote chess and creating endgame study matches.  Some of the best teachers for the intermediate players were these players and just gone.  I regret renewing my membership in December at this point.  Upon renewing it thrust me to V3 edition and on my smart phone I was stuck for a day in that dreadful space.  I have found my way back to the much more user friendly V2 but as I read this I realize I only have recieved a brief reprive before the site I have come to love will no longer exist - with many of the group members no longer being around.  Another group I was in - created a completely different site to organize their slow chess tournaments and just use this site as a vehicle to play the games -- you would think that the social portion of the chess groups would want to be here and not be taken elsewhere.  Hope you figure out that people want a easy to use site to learn and practice the great game of Chess.

What is the point of restricting the vote choices? If you have a well organized team the random moves won't have any impact. If only three people are voting then the match shouldn't have played to begin with. I have seen too many matches - especially from the mega teams - that just send out one challenge after the other but only have very few people participating.
