Please do not insult the staff.  Further infractions will get you drowned.

Still, think of all that muck on the sea bed.

That's where the cleaning staff come in

Doesn't sound official enough.  So no.

so, i was muted for quoting the op and responding in this topic that, apparently, no one can post a link to, as i just received the red banner-again-when the link to the topic is included. even though the url and the title of the topic have not changed in days.

for reference, the topic is "muted in chat for om*g lol".

i received an apology from a staff member for the mute.

so, erik, if staff needs to apologize for a bot muting members, and we are not allowed to copy/paste other topics, don't you think you need to reevaluate your automation?

it is very sad when i feel the need to copy a post prior to posting because the autobot might delete it and give me the red banner.

This still happens!? In October, I contacted Support complaining about how I got muted for this exact same reason! I’m bewildered why they haven’t fixed this already.

(The blacked out stuff is just irrelevant and/or personal information.)

In my experience, they’re usually very quick at getting rid of bugs, so hearing that they still hadn’t fixed a minor issue from 2 months ago was surprising to me.

your tune might change if anything mentioned in this topic affected you.

math has nothing to do with it. effectiveness of any action is what matters, and the enacted automation is poor.

Exactly. Imagine trying to quote a post with profanity, without using profanity yourself, and then getting muted for 1.5 days. Friends get confused with why your messages to them disappeared, and why you aren’t answering them.

Happened to the bunny too.   Luckily staff actually answered the ticket the same day or the forums would have missed out on the bunny's wisdom for a whole 24 hours.  Yes,  let that sink in.

To think that after a mute threat and a false mute notification, quoting someone else's post was what finally did the bunny in.

Sad side effect allowing 5 posts now....it's no post time?

accepting that an automute is rescinded within 24 hours is a case of low expectations. it shouldn't happen in the first place.

If this is any indication of autobot skills, driverless cars scares the carp out of me!
