Extremely discouraged

I faced this situation too. Everyone does including the guy who called you a cupcake. Heck, moving on.. Evaluate your position before every move. Look out for pieces you may have hung and protect them adequately. Double check before moving your queen to a particular square. See if the intended square is under attack or gonna be attacked. Watch out for your opponent's move. NOT hanging pieces is the first step to improvement. Also, keep learning. Do lessons and puzzles. Besides, I'm a noob myself. Importantly, ignore Naysayers. Best of luck bro! Enjoy your chess. Do NOT worry too much about improvement.

I've been stuck at 1450-1500 for a long time now but no way I'm giving up trying to get to 1600.
Hopefully I make it to 1600 within the next 40 years. Just hope me brain holds out.

You will have those seasons. Sometimes, you need to take a break, and then you can go back to it when you are feeling better.

No matter how much you go up in rating, you will always make mistakes. Part of the game. I see you've made progress tho, keep it up and when you're really frustrated take a break. Good luck.

Don't be discouraged brother, u say 6 years , look at me , I have been stuck at my present level for the last 25 years atleast , intact have lost around 200 points of rating strength over the last 10 years, so don't let this silly board game dictate your happiness in life, there are other far more important things in life than silly horseys and bisheeeps , play chess like u play candy crush, play a game , move on , don't think too much about win or lose

Treat as friendly games and remember win or lose you learn something play it no mind and just enjoy the experience
i know what you are talking about to some extent -- i don't have adha -- but i do have compulsive playing tendises -- when i lose i go into that rabbit hole of trying to win to make up for it -- that doesn't work -- when you lose just stop and do something else for 20 minutes then try again and reset - if you lose again then stop for a longer period me i go for walk around my park out my back door its takes about 1/2 hour round trip-- when i come back i try again -- if i lose that third game then thats it ----off for the day = start again tomorow -- discipline to stop when you are losing is hard -- so just take in steps -- when you lose give yourself a task that has nothing to do with chess -- then come back then another task - then replay- -
iam a terrible loser at chess but i can't seem to walk away -- so i give myself little penalties or tasks to complete each time i lose helping me to refocus -- seems to help and makes the game a challenge each time instead of a danta's inferno of losing down that rabbit hole of despair
seems to be working - i used to be 100 for weeks on end well really monthes on end - now i seen to hover around 140-150 not great stats i agree --but a 40 % improvment just by taking those breaks and doing these self made tasks -- my games still the same -- crap - but i see light at end of tunnel -- my light being reaching 200
good luck don't despair start over ---start small - gain small -- with your skill set it won't take long -
