Okay, Erik, I've posted several comments regarding PGN here and in another thread, and you've remained silent.
I think this is a nice site, and I've played at most of the similar ones. However, PGN implementation here is poor. If you want me to keep playing here more than a month or two, you will fix this. Also, you will render it possible to download all of a player's games in one batch instead of as multiple single files, as present.

the los angeles times sunday has a chess section and weekly puzzle that is very challenging maybe you can post it here as an added challenge puzzle

According to Ziryab, there seems to be some non-conformance issue with the pgn headers. IF a pgn is correctly formatted, it should (but isn't required to) contain the ECO code for the opening. With the ECO code in the header, you should be able, not only to locate games by openings, but search and sort any database using the opening code as a criterion.
I like the tournament idea. What about awards for member points?(I'm not sure if anyone touched on this.) For example, after 100 points maybe you get the chance to play against the creators of this site, or the person who makes the daily puzzle. And after every 150 points you get to challenge someone who has a higher rating than you, but they have to play handicapped. i.e. without a bishop and a knight, but it would have to depend on how high their rating is. Also in all fairness, this game wouldn't count on their record.

I don't know if this has been suggested already, but it would be nice of you could enter a sequence of moves that will be played automatically when you're not there. For example you could enter the next move you would play for each likely move of your opponent, that way when you or your opponent don't login often you don't have to play out forced sequences of moves one at a time.

Is there a way to place a personal ban a player, i.e. make sure that he can't challenge you, or accept your challenges, etc.? There is such a feature on ICC. It comes in handy when you think someone behaved unethically toward you (let the time run out, instead of resigning; dragged the game out for weeks in a hopeless position; used a chess engine against you, etc).

Is there a plan to organize all of the videos that have been posted? It I am looking for games by Fischer, I have to wade through lots of stuff to find them.

videos needs a total overhaul. that won't be for probably 2-3 months. try using the searchbar in the top-right of the page with "fischer video"

change what part of the html?? we gave you the ability to change the site colors and upgrade your logo. what do you want to do with the html!?
