Feature Requests and Wishlist Thoughts!!?

I agree with those alerts and that they only disappear once you refresh again or click them again. Many times I've been fooled into thinking that I got a new message, and when I checked it, I saw I had another new message! Undecided

And I also told erik about the RSS part. A RSS feed for your online games would also be nice. So the feed shows all games in which it's your turn. Then you don't have to go to Chess.com and check your online chess home every time to see if you have to make a move somewhere.

 Yes, like this...

Sorry, my poor English, sometimes I can't express my ideas clearly...

Have you considered posting an "average time per move" stat next in the personal stats area under "Moves"? I've noticed that some games take a whole lot longer than others, because not everyone makes 2+ moves per day. The extra stat might help people challenge others with similar chess-playing habits.

That's a good one epsilon.

Maybe it's also useful to stress the time-out percentage more when for example seeking a game. I wouldn't want to play someone with a time-out percentage of more than, say, 50%.

thanks shadow! i think we already did the last suggestion... check on the main forums page, etc.

as for the other one, i'll look into it.

 Ouh! I just saw it!

great ideas guys. the timeout % is already on their stats, but we can probably make that part of the SEEK.

as for TIME PER MOVE, i wanted to have that done, but it is actually an expensive piece of info to get if you store the times in between moves. i may be able to do it differently, but i'm not sure yet. i agree though, that would be nice to know!

Is it possible to have the chess board feature seen in the learning articles react to keyboard inputs? Such as using the space bar or arror keys. Using the keyboard is easier on the wrists for us old people (40 aaaahhhh). When you have or have had carpal tunnel this simple request makes a world of difference. Smile

Save a timestamp per move. Then install a cron that calculates promedy of time per move and stores it in a cache table, per day (or per month) per user.Would that work? I don't know, I think I am not making any sense, lol

sorry , premature of me :)...

how about 'Tribes'...?

Etienne

Or guilds, why not? or perhaps city-states? Ok, clubs could be good I think.

But... why teams? For tournaments? Then teams could be alright...

But my point is this: The recent post thing on the right of the screen should bring you to the post in question and not to the beginning of the topic.

Team tournaments would be nice! Laughing

I would like there to be an all-encompassing list of the latest content posted on the site.  Instead of just "latest forum posts" I would like a catch-all list including news, articles, chessopedia, forum, blogs, and possibly even game results.

How about a graph display for your online chess rating over time?
erik
graphs are coming! we just a graphing library installed :)
batgirl
I hope it's not too graphic.

On the TIME PER MOVE, maybe calculate the average after every move, just 3 pieces of info stored instead of storing the time of every single move... 2 cents
