Just kidding.. but seriously, why would someone make a topic about a gay group?

For the same reasons someone would want to make a topic about any group. You're very young and have yet to develop a mature perspective on homosexuality.

Some of the comments in the deleted thread were nasty and homophobic but there were also people rationally discussing the subject as well. It did get off its original topic though. Many of the forums seem to lose track of their original intent though and they do not usually get deleted.

It sounds like it might have been best to delete the offending comments and warn the users who made them, but it's possible that the thread was so far gone by the time a moderator came across it that it was just easier to delete it altogether.

Well Munch, you think you've got problems. I once entered a tournamant and was winning against a highly graded opponent when the whole tournament disappeared! There was no explanation and the 'cleaners' wiped  everyone's memory because no reference was ever made to that event, ever. However, I remember, perhaps out of deep-set indignation.... and rage!

Careful, Winston.  You don't want to end up in room 101.
