Okay, you might think I’m crazy, but I always see that when people respond to posts on forums, they have a gray box in their post with the previous post and/or the post that they are responding to. How do you do that?
It's called quoting a comment. You can only do it from the website and not from the app as far as I am aware.
Whenever you hover your mouse over a comment, on the top right side there are three options --- the first one from the right is the quote option. It looks like the quote sign ("). Just click that and that comment will appear in your comment box.
