My skills have improved, the site has intresting stuff like death matches and the new 'grandmaster blitz battles'. This site just gets better and better!
Oh, and to members who might be reading this thread, go to V3! It's down at the bottom of the page where it says 'try the new chess.com!'. It is AWESOME!!!!
I think Chess Mentor and the Tactics trainer are really good. The teaching videos on tactics in the video section are very informative. Many of the other chess videos I have watched on tactics are aimed at higher ranked players. I find the beginner videos here at Chess.com to be really easy to understand.
I love chess.com because I meet nice people all around the world. Sometimes we play, sometimes, we play and chat, sometimes we play, chat and become friends... Meantime I learn a lot about chess and improve my chess.habilities. Woaw!

When I was first introduced to chess.com by a friend I met at a chess tourney, I was amazed at the in-depth of it. I immedietly started into some awesome correspondance games, a thing I had never experienced before.
I quickly introduced some of my own pals to it, and soon we were playing on the site like mad! After about 4 months, I got into groups. I made some really good friends in the Christian Homeschool Team, a group of which I am now admin. I then became admin of several more groups, meeting even more people. I now spend nearly 2 hours a day on chess.com enjoying the action-packed tournament and great interaction with other players, if not for chess.com I doubt I would have:
1. Met and made so many new friends
2. With a gold membership a friend gave to me, I really used it to the advantage and learned SO MUCH in chess mentor, which the definetly the best teaching tool out there.
3.Get a medal. I really like the way that even free members are allowed to compete in tourneys. In real life I've never got a medal so I was dancing around the room so delightedly when I got my first lightning medal!
4. Played lighting chess.com Never even heard of time control before I came to chess.com!
5. Just HAD FUN!
Wow that was great, TCK, you deserve a 12 week premium... ;)

Oh, I forgot to add that the staff here are AWESOME!
When my account was closed for 'spamming' all I had to do was send them an email and they quickly corrected their mistake.

The Chess.com staff have been brilliant in removing cheats, fixing technical issues and dealing with general enquiries. The tournaments are awesome too.
Four and a half years ago I found chess.com by accident. Quickly introduced it to my schoolmates and in a few months, we became the strongest players in our high school.
Why? 
We learnt you can use forums efficiently (besides playing chess of course) - a little bit of trolling and a lot of constructive browsing can boost your chess knowledge quite a lot. You can share ideas and get responses, from regular players and masters. And therefore making friends. That's why I like this site!
P.s: I'm also the best member on Chess.com, so...

It sucks to go from Diamond membership to this spectacular app that is made for learning more than advertising to a regular membership. 1 year got over! Even 2 weeks free will make me feel ecstatic!
I learned how to play chess here but admitedly haven't improved much. I like the science threads in the discussion groups.
This won't do, VG, you gotta be a little bit more articulate about it... Just see the next one, that's the way to go... :D
Almost three years here and alas, I failed to improve, no edification, I guess I must be doing something wrong... ;)
