game review interface change?

FWIW: I am not sure how you measure the usage of the training suggestions. I read them as additional information and found it helpful whether I clicked on them or not. Since the work for those is already done, my personal opinion is that adding them back in somewhere would be great.

The last 4 post sum up the issue; 1 ego or cost saving, 2 no cost saving, 3 another contributor pointing out the high level of dissatisfaction, and 4 another contributor wanting a prorated refund or worse yet going back to a non-paying account. Every so often we see a thread comparing this site to another. Do you really feel reducing the chess playing experience in anyway is productive?

This is what you get for a diamond membership? Very disappointing.

Please reconsider your STUBBORN stance and offer the CHOICE as the new system is a work in progress. You CAN maintain the code for both systems. I know you can.

I miss the old days when we had the best game review in the world!

I’ve used chess.com for 9 years and loved it. I absolutely HATE this new UI that also takes away functionality.
What I hate even more is the way it was just dropped on us - no announcement, no article on chess.com news, nothing.
It was just shoved down our throats with no warning and no choice.
I’ve been a professional software developer for over 30 years, and this is a very poor rollout and a very negative user experience.

Big downgrade

Hey guys I just discovered a WORKAROUND, when you hit review it takes you to the review screen we have been criticizing, then click on the upper right self analysis button this takes you back to another review screen, complete with the 3 review scores, icons for the library, and if you have a draw on repeated positions it shows this also. I cannot think of anything that has change (if you can please leave a comment). This is something that chess.com should have told us about!

That's the self Analysis page that's always been available with some newer features just recently added as well.

I don't like it either. It seems you keep changing for the sake of change, and not user friendliness.

While that used to be true (and is the single reason that I bought a Diamond membership), I am not sure that is true anymore. I started looking at some of the other site options today.

It would have been a little easier if the devs had provided their rational for making the changes they did and removing the features that they chose to remove, but I like looking at chess sites, so this task isn't very onerous.

They are not doing this out of rational thoughts. They just think: "but we did spend time on it and it did cost a lot of money to make this troglodyte. Now no matter how bad it is... we WILL shove it down their throats and they WILL learn to love it".

Well.. I WILL stop my membership. You screw me over I do not pay another dime not even if it WAS reverted back now. I don't deal with idiots.

The new layout is AWFUL

No need for Diamond membership renewal now. This now looks generic and should be for free players not paying customers. What genius thought this would be a good idea? Please explain the reason. They know it was shady the way the shoved it on us. You didnt see them bragging about it before they made the change. All these paying customers and this? Diamond is for sure not worth it for me now. Watch because this site puts you on automatic renewal. Is what it is.

the only thing I would have ever paid money for on this site is game review, now I know I never will (never have in the past either, but there were chances, now there is none). Game review is useless now. It feels completely nerfed. Thankfully I just deal with this on my free trials.

the reason I dont like it fyi is because it hides the best move, among other things. for no reason too. and I know i can turn on the best move arrow, that's not what I am talking about. the interface makes me scroll for no reason. super annoying.

Update : after complaints they had taken my account back on the old system, but now ( after about a month ) i've been sent back to this penitence that is the new design, and the worst part is : i don't think they even improved it since they last put me into this mess.

Can people still be migrated back to the old version if they comment here as Drittman 13 previouasy said? This new version is terrible, Its not even worth viewing anymore.
