Getting Over Frustration

Hello!

I am a relatively new chess player, and there have been moments when frustration ruins my chess game. I’ve been trolled a few times, and then have even had times when I’ve embarrassed myself by getting angry with it and responding.

Any tips on ignoring the haters and staying focused on the game? Should I just turn off chat? I’m not an angry person, but there’s something about online play that brings out the worst in folks and I have been pulled into it.

Sorry to any players I’ve gotten frustrated with. I ultimately just want to have fun and improve.

Yes, turn off the chat and play in 'dark mode'. The most you will miss is somebody saying enjoy the game at the start and gg at the end.
