Glitch on chess.com?

In the last day or so, when playing daily chess, the pages layout in my games frequently changes to the layout you get when you click on the play (BETA) option.

When this occurs i cannot make any moves whatsoever on my laptop. On my phone i can make moves but it's more awkward to use overall. I cannot switch out of this layout unless i log out the site. 

Is this a glitch, or are chess.com rolling out this new layout? While i'm not averse to change, i'm clearly not in favour of a change that prevents me from playing chess on my laptop. 

Just wondering what's going on and whether anyone else is experiencing something similar. 

i think you need to drag the pieces, i also use my laptop, and i agree that the way the daily games have been before is better...

try dragging the pieces instead of clicking on the piece and the square you want to move it to... hope it works

It's a known bug in Play (Beta) for Daily. It's being fixed but you can either use drag move until fixed it load games directly from your homepage or through Play > Daily Chess for the original interface.

it only works if you drag the pieces, and there's no chat function.
