Today, a friend asked if I was a member of any group/s on chess.com.  No was my answer.  Whether to join a group has been a quandary for me.

Why? Find one you think you'll like, and join. If you don't like it after all, quit.

Groups are cool.  Team matches are fun!  you just play one person 2 games and your team does the same.

some groups do daily puzzles and have mentors.  So do vote chess matches.  some have lots of tournaments.

lol if its even a quesition in the mind why not try one or two and see. Each has it own flavor and style. Once tried it is easy to leave them behind.

I use my groups for tournament promotion!

However I have just withdrawn from all tournaments but have kept the team matches.  I like these!

If you want to play teammatches BADLY, please don't join any of my groups. Wink

If you join one of the largest groups (GROUPS -> All Groups & Teams -> Sort by # of members), they are likely to have the largest number of team matches going on.
