My name is Rachael. I am a mother of two, and for the first time, I have found something that I am truely passionate about. And with everything that I am, I know that I can chat here and there are no creeps. There are only genuinely intellectual beings here. Because of my new found love for chess and this amazingly accessible website with challenging, free features, I want my children in this category. I hope they love chess as much as I do.

One reason that's not been mentioned above is that it's fun reading trysts and ivandh. And Mrs. Pogonina is nice to have around here. Now only if Krush, J.Shahade and Kosteniuk would nestle here too, then it would be absolute goodness. Pure reason. A thing in itself. Geist.

The group aspect of playing against another team -- by discussion and then voting -- is something that can't be done easily except online.  I love that aspect of chess.com.

I'm just getting back to chess and joined as a paying member of two sites.  This site is technically superior and has much livelier discussion boards and groups and vote chess. You can be isolated if you want, but you can interact with nice people if you wish as well.
