Oh am addicted to tactics so that would be no good for me.
Hello, how many paid members are there at chess.com?

Thanks for reaching out human to human like, but do you realise you are in no way answering the question of the thread? I didn't ask for any help deciding which membership to choose. I asked if anyone knows how many paid members there are of chess.com.

The 14,000 joining today is not 14,000 paid. It is just people signing up for the site. And quite a few of those may be people who were banned and came back to continue harassing others or people who forgot they had signed up before and created a new account (not to mention sock puppet accounts). Since memberships never get purged that makes the total member number a little misleading.
As for paid members, I doubt the great ego would ever release that info, then people may realize it is not the great site it tries pass itself off as.
However, the $99US is not a bad price for what you get - IF you use it (and if you can stand a lot of the policies and ever changing rule set).

I'm just interested in why a kid who joined 6 days ago would be interested in site finances.? Not the usual brand of curiosity. Unless your an investor or silent partner, the site's not gonna give out that kind of info. I wouldn't. Since you're asking 2 questions, how much do YOU think memberships SHOULD cost?
I believe my first membership payment was going out today and then I saw a pop up from the site that told me that 14,000 members joined this site today.
I must admit I was quite taken aback and it made me rethink how much memberships should cost.
Does anyone know? Thank you
