If you click your username your friends should appear at the bottom of your profile page. I just did that in your profile but there were no friends listed. What is your dad's username?

So now you can click his username link that I posted above. He also has no friends on his page. If you send a friend request a notification will appear asking that person to accept or decline. Are you trying to play a live game or a daily?

I don’t see my username anywhere, but I did just find “friends” under the list of options from the hamburger symbol at top left. When I go to “add a friend” I am able to find him, but I don’t see how to add him.
His name has a check to the right of it which I think would indicate he’s already a friend ,and when I tap on the hamburger at top right, I’m given the option to “remove friend” which would also seem to indicate that he’s already a friend, no?

Huh perhaps we are seeing different things on different devices, sounds like you have successfully friended then. So if you just go on his profile, click challenge, select the parameters you want it should send a challenge which will appear in his notifications (the 🔔 icon) saying that you want to play. Is this what you did last time?
Yes, but oddly he’s not listed when I tap on “friends.”
Anyway, ok I see your challenge, that makes sense. It seems that my dad is not seeing it. Either something’s amiss or its his spotty technical chops. I’d like to send him a new challenge, but when I try it tells me that I’m only allowed two pending challenge per player. I don’t see a place that shows pending challenges (unless this is in “open challenges”), if I could find that, perhaps i could delete them and send him a new one. I’ll ask him tomorrow if he sees the alert for my challenge.

I have tried to begin a game with him by sending him a challenge but he says he doesn’t see it. Actually I sent him two and he doesn’t see either one. Does something pop up on your screen when someone sends a challenge? Otherwise, how can one view these requests? Is it in “open challenges”? Lastly, I believe that I added him as a friend, but I don’t see where I find a list of friends to confirm this, where would this be?
