Hermetica - a board game I made that has a lot of inspiration from Chess

Hi Everyone,

Full disclosure, my friends and I are live on Kickstarter for the first time ever to show the world Hermetica.  It's a two player, abstract strategy board game where clever combos and dynamic terrain create a battle of choice, tactics and wits.

In addition to our Kickstarter campaign - we also have our own website (www.hermeticathegame.com) where you can watch a 5 minute "How to play" video, read the animated rules and even play it online for free!  I'm usually in the lobby with a tagname of "KaModicaDragon" - so feel free to send a challenge invite if you'd like (I'd be more than happy to give tips and tricks).  Or, you can solve over 30+ puzzles we have to get a sense on how the game works.

Curious to know if any avid chess players like myself like the concept of a dynamic turn based strategy game.

You can find our Kickstarter link here for more information about the game, the creators and more at:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/951027224/hermetica?ref=e9rhzp

Also - for convenience, I have inserted the "How to Play" video here to watch.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or provide feedback.  Thanks for checking this out!

It looks cool but sometimes graphics are everything. Personally, the Chinese Checkers/Backgammon look makes me not wanna play.

Thanks for the feedback rjbuffchix! I can see where you are coming from that first impressions have a big impact on interest. I feel like the gameplay has enough depth to keep all gamers interested and entertained as no game is ever really alike.

You're welcome, I'll have to consider your game anyway. And, that is a good point. Cheers and good luck.
