I just banned the chat forever in settings and that removed 90% of idiots from my radar. The only thing they can do now is to stall the game, no way to solve that other than play 5 minutes blitz or less (not sure reporting them does anything). I'd ban at least 5 countries if I had a chance though Even 1400+ ELO is not a guarantee in some places of the world, they seem stuck in their 10 y.o. mental age, that's sad.

Let me guess, the countries are india usa russia china and something else? (no offence)

Sorry, I can't reveal my "favorites", that would be discriminatory. I completely understand that it's wrong to judge an entire country based on a few ignorant individuals. However, my personal experience indicates that whenever I encounter someone stalling the game after I've dismantled their position, and I glance at the flag in the corner, I tend to notice one of those five. happy

Do something else while they stall. Don't have to stare at the screen waiting, just make sure you can easily access it

Mute chat

There's nothing wrong with promoting pawns, resign and move on.

@Tesserakt_Gaming, banning someone for their country alone is extremely racist and discriminatory!!!! That is so terrible!

This topic is discriminatory in nature, generalising a few people's behaviour to whole communities or countries. It violates our community policy https://www.chess.com/legal/community.

If you encounter abusive behaviour, from stalling to direct insult, the best course of action is to report them https://support.chess.com/category/139-abuse.
