I went to see the legend TAL in 1978 at the Savoy in London when he did a Blindfold Chess exhibition taking on a staggering 54 boards a legend and genius ever remembered!
How to avoid Mikhail Tal?
I played him in 1988, In Saint John NB Canada. At the World Open. In a simul, not in the tournament.

Lucky
I only met a top 10 blitz grandmaster, sat in Awong Liander's chair for round 2 of the Charlotte Open and saw Dina, Fun Master Mike, and Danny Rensch. (I think seeing Tal is better tbh)
Fun Master Mike recognized me from Super Nationals VIII lolll.
I wore a mario cap, I'm very eccentric-
But to answer OP's question, you cannot escape Tal, or scholar's mate.

Thanks man finally some respect. I mean there are 2 types of scholars mate "The Classic Variation" and "The Tal Variation" you can avoid the first one, but the second?
you can't.. I will always have M4.. all the moves of mine are brilliant because it's me who plays it...
