For some reason, in the last match I played, I wasn't able to take pieces twice. It wasn't due to any rules reason (I wasn't in check, or close to check) I just couldn't take the pieces? Is this normal on this site? I ended up having to resign because I couldn't win....so I lost ~180 points Yell

I would appreciate it if you could please cite a game ID, a move number, and the move you tried to play.

What's there to say?  90% of the time this kind of topic comes up, the person really was in check.  Other times people think there's a glitch if an en passant capture happens or if the game is suddenly drawn due to repetition (or not, if they don't know you have to claim it) or insufficient material.  If there really was a bug of some kind, a better thing to do is to submit a ticket by clicking on the "Help" link in the top corner (between your username and "Logout").  In any case, we can't say one way or another without knowing more information.  What game was it in?  Which move?  What are the spec's on your browser/internet?  Did you try clearing cookies, deleting the cache, and refreshing the page to make sure it was displaying the page correctly?

Without that information, there's not much we can do.  Even with it, we non-staff people may not be able to help, hence the recommendation to submit an official help ticket.

According to FIDE rules, the standard to which chess.com rigorously adheres, you cannot take a piece more than one time in a game.
