I try to welcome as many new members as I can. Think, if we all did, every new member could be greeted. and play a first game!

yeah i did it with a few new members from all around the world and answered their questions. Im friends with a few of them now though.

If you are enjoying Chess.com and would like to help out, then I could REALLY use a little help welcoming the many new members who come each day!
Here is what you can do:
- go to the Members page and find a new member
- leave that new member a welcoming note
(make sure you send them a personlized note as copy/paste welcomes could accidentally get your account temporarily disabled!!)
- challenge them to an introductory game (rated or unrated - your choice)
- chat with them when you play and answer any questions they may have
