People believe all sorts of incorrect things, even educated people. While some members use disallowed resources, the site finds and closes tens of thousands of them each month.

If the accounts your are playing aren't playing fairly, report them. If the site doesn't close the accounts, it's most likely they are playing fairly.

.the site doesn't close accounts for inactivity. If you see an account with that label, it's a self closure.

If they were actually engines you wouldnt win a single game, probably a higher rated player thats for some reason lower rated

Chess.com has millions of people... and any time you have millions of people, a certain percentage are sure to be mentally ill.

Topics like this pop up now and then... they're always ridiculous.

Depends on your definition of fake. Does it have a bunch of abandoned accounts? Yes. Does it have a bunch of accounts that were created by people in an attempt to troll or violate the site terms of service, sure. Do you mean accounts created by the site in order to boost numbers, I'm fairly certain no.

I'd like to know you managed to beat a 2500+(Donald4Trump) as a 1300 in a 3 minute blitz that played out for 40+ moves.....

The account he beat was closed for fair play.

Obviously in that game the user played on their own instead of cheating (or had technical issues and ran out of time, etc).

Eh, maybe. I've reported sandbaggers over and over without them getting closed. I think they get lots of warnings first... or reports just trigger a blind analysis for engine use.

(edit -- looking at rating graph and games played, wasn't a sandbagger)

I asked to OP since he thinks being an old account and not playing competitive chess against random people looks like a fake account to him I assumed. And I was just curious if I look like a fake account or not from his view.

I was going to tell since I'm posting in the forums it must contradicting my question and if I wasn't posting, I could look more like a fake account but seems it's not the case. lol. I may tell how I got my way here but it's off-topic so no need to write an article about it. Let's say it was just a coincidence; I've found the stats I was looking for and now I'm out. I don't even know how to get here without the help of Google; this website is a mess complex for me.
